Orbit 2 - Screen Protector and Audio Adapter
I thought I would give people my feedback on two accessories I've bought recently:
Screen Protector
A Vikuiti ARMR200 matt screen protector:
Vikuiti? ARMR200 Screen Protector for O2 XDA Orbit 2 II on eBay, also, Other PDA Accessories, PDA Accessories, Computing (end time 09-Jul-08 14:11:18 BST)
Very easy to fit - went on in one go without bubbles (my first time ever with a screen protector !). Very accurate fit to the screen shape of the Orbit 2 (with cut outs in all the right locations). Nice feel to the surface for writing/stylus use. Delivered in 3 days to the UK.
Compared to the standard clear protector, it adds a touch of 'grainyness' to the screen, but I don't really notice that now and it certainly doesn't prevent you seeing the contents of the display. It does cut down on reflections making them more blurred/muted (useful if you are wearing light-coloured clothing !). You can still see reflections but they are less distracting. However, it doesn't really help that much compared to clear protectors when viewing the screen in bright sunlight - perhaps an improvement of 10-15% at most. So, although I would buy this brand again in preference to the standard clear screen protector, it doesn't solve all the issues of visibility outside - we need a different screen technology for that !
Audio Adapter
A very small monoblock headphone adapter that avoids the need to have all the extra length of the wire of the included remote control when you want to use your standard headphones.
3.5mm Earphone Audio Adapter for HTC Touch Cruise P3650 on eBay, also Handsfree, Other Mobile Phone Accessories, Mobile Phone Accessories, Mobile Home Phones (end time 10-Jun-08 20:00:00 BST)
Very cheap but works exactly as advertised. Audio quality identical to supplied remote lead. Solid construction. Arrived within 4 days to the UK. The only slight drawback is that radio reception is about 25-30% worse as the total length of wire acting as an ariel antenna is now shorter than the headphone lead + remote control lead.

I managed to lose my charger in work 2 days after getting the phone. bought this cradle after that, it looks good and works well.
For O2 XDA Orbit 2/II USB Desktop Cradle, GPSForLess.

Now that looks very nice, how securely does the Orbit 2 sit in it?

The link above will have expired, but do a search on:
HTC Touch Cruise/O2 XDA Orbit II/P3650 Cradle Charger
and it'll pop up under international sellers. Forget the shop view, it's in chinese and not too easy to find what you want
