Orbit 2 and Bluetooth

I have had the Orbit 2 for 5 days now, I am getting a problem with my Jabra 250v. If I use the device to make or pickup a call, the audio and voice goes dead after about 7 - 8 seconds. If I reboot the phone or pair the Jabra again, it then works for a few hours. But then starts to play up again. I have used the Jabra on my Old Orbit for over a year without any problems. Has anyone else come across this problem with the Bluetooth?

Thanks

Re: Orbit 2 and Bluetooth

No such problem here I'm afraid, worked fine with my 250V and the Plantronics.

Re: Orbit 2 and Bluetooth

I have no problems on my Orbit 2 using Motorola S'9s with bluetooth, are they being discovered by your device?

Re: Orbit 2 and Bluetooth

My Orbit 2 plays music fine on both an Anycom BSH 100 and Motorola S9's.

Re: Orbit 2 and Bluetooth

I have just purchased a set of Motorola S9's so hopefully all will be well.

The Motorola HS810 is the device that cuts out every 7 or 8 secs whilst making or receiveing a call. Ok I appreciate this headset is a couple of years old now and it is only a mono earpiece.

I also have a Motorola HT820 Stereo headset as well which works fine but it is so big you look a little daft, but hey the sound quality is fantastic.

Hopefully my S9's will be here soon, so as long as the quality is as good as the HT820 then I will be happy and of course I can chat away without it cutting out ..... If it works then the HS810 will get a float test when I start my night shifts this week.

Re: Orbit 2 and Bluetooth

Since my problem with the Jabra 250v I have tried another Bluetooth headset, the Nokia HS-56w, and that works fine, the only conclusion I can come to is the the Jabra and the Orbit 2 combination must have some issues.

Re: Orbit 2 and Bluetooth

My Plantronics h/s worked PERFECTLY with my original Orbit and I didn't have any problems yesterday with the Orbit 2. But today, a couple of times, the headset beeped and then I realised Bluetooth on the Orbit 2 was OFF. Not in the middle of a call or anything, but for some reason the Orbit just took it upon itself to turn off.

Anyone experienced this?

Now that's interesting as I experienced it yesterday too but it's only happened once.

Coming back up the M6 I was busily chatting on the Plantronics with the Orbit 2 on car power and it cut me off. At first I thought the battery had gone and it was only when I went back to the Today screen I noticed PhoneAlarm was showing BT was off.

Switched it back on and headset was fine on the rest of the calls until I got home!

I have just re-installed the shipped O2 ROM as I had the WM6.1 build on there (curiosity got the better of me on the shipped ROM as I hadn't really used it!). I might re-flash the WM6.1 and see if I can get it to do the same...

I'll have to keep an eye on that....
