Re: Orbit 2 randomly connecting to internet

I have no idea really, it just says connected to mobile internet. I end the session, and the device looks the same. everything appears offline. Re the GPS point I have copilot, but have not installed anything else.

Re: Orbit 2 randomly connecting to internet

I've no experience of copilot but I do have experience of my N95 connecting to internet automatically when I use Nokia Maps with Assisted GPS on. It has several choices of connection for GPS data and turning off Assisted GPS certainly stopped the random connecting for me but not entirely, as it still connected to check things initially if I allowed it to. Nokia Maps has an always ask option, but dunno about copilot

Check on CoPilot options to see what choices you have for connecting/network access as it may have a wifi only choice.

Also see if you can monitor your data costs via the 150 number if you are on TMobile, or online if with O2 possibly...

Yes it does- should be on the companion CD.

Probably worth installing and configuring it, to see just how much data is being used. If a small amount it could be QuickGPS; if more than a few Kb at a time, probably need to look elsewhere!

As a matter of fact, I'd suggest going into QuickGPS and disabling ti anyway. The Orbit2 gets a fix really fast without QuickGPS, and from what I've seen the problems QGPS can cause make it not worth the bother of using it.
