Runnings Apps option on XDA orbit 2

Guys,

In my quest to ensure I do not have apps running and trying to connect to the internet all the time, I cam across the running apps option on the today programme. It is an option to show.

However it seems to only show recent apps used, rather than currently running. I open an app up, then close it - but it stil shows on the running apps tab!

Anyone else tried this!?

You need one of the task closer apps. Many launchers include such functionality. Some are free, some aren't.

I use iLauncher that also has the functionality but it costs, others use many other different apps......

The HTC Home Screen has an icon in the top-right corner that, when tapped, drops down a list of currently running apps. Tapping the cross next to any of the listed programs causes a forced shutdown on that program.

There are posts on here with links to the HTC Home Plugin if you don't already have it installed.

EDIT

Here's the link to that thread http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/pho...s-14-10-a.html (Newest 6 Button HTC Home plugin+customisation pack cab files for all devices (14-10))

I've found that by default simply tapping the x button just minimises the app. By holding the x button for a second or two it does actually close the app. You can change that under the task manager so that just tapping will close the app.

Yes that is correct Graffen, there is of course the included O2 task manager which is included with the Orbit 2, the small blue O2 globe at the bottom right of the today screen.
