O2 plus v2.3 on Orbit 2
Hey I have just installed O2 plus 2.3 it is a very nice program indeed but ive come across a small irritation (im a perfectionist in truth) that when I click on my start menu it seems to have added many applications to the list which fill it up leaving me no room. I go to the menu option within settings and I have nothing selected so why is there 12 items in the list can some one please help me. Also when I uninstall the program it seems to mess up the standard O2 Utility completely
many thanks

Re: O2 plus v2.3 on Orbit 2
Hi Aiden,
You can edit the Start Menu by opening file explorer and looking in the Windows - Start Menu folder. all the programs listed should be just shortcuts and duplicated in Programs so you can add and delete them to get the content you want.
As for O2 Plus 2.3 this was developed for the Asian market and is likely clashing with the newer version on your Orbit2. Probably just an incompatibility I'm afraid.

Heres how I set up mine to work with O2 Plus 2.3
First hard reset when it boots up & you see the customsation in 3 secs prompt screen, poke the soft reset button which will prevent it loading the stock O2 Plus & a few other programs that can be installed later.
Now load the O2 Plus 2.3 cab. Once loaded it should work fine. It adds some blank links to the start menu but you can just go into the Windows/startmenu/programs & delete them. I prefer the 2.3 version as the shortcuts use big icons as opposed to the tiny ones in the stock O2 plus.
You may want to reload some programs so just go into the Windows Directory where you'll find all the cab files for Co-Pilot, O2 operator setting etc. I loaded the Co Pilot pilot program onto my Storage Card so I get more int memory. Only problem is I can't launch it from the cube (but not a big deal anyway coz I don't use it much. Prefer TomTom Nav6.

Sounds interesting. Any chance of a screenshot of what v2.3 looks like, and a url for where it can be downloaded?

Re: O2 plus v2.3 on Orbit 2
Sorry Boz, I can't remember everything you post!
Having looked at it, it's another one of those home screen apps that wastes a chunk of screen on a huge great clock, which doesn't suit me at all. I'm hunting for something that does launcher icons, appointments and tasks in reminder order. I may well end up back with my classic combination of iLauncher and Pocket Breeze, but decided it's time to evaluate the new alternatives first.

I know you won't remember as I have posted quite a few, I have difficulty keeping up myself!
The clock is a different application, it is the 3 rows of icons in the bottom half of the screen that is O2 Plus 2.3, you can have as many or as few as you wish, the applications memory footprint is very small.
