I've got a problem with my wi-fi network, not directly rated to this thread, but close enough.
I can connect to the Internet ok via my HTC on my home wi-fi network, but I can't open a path to my NAS or desktop PC. However, if I change my connection settings to 'Work' instead of 'Internet', I can get to my shared folders, but not the Internet (if I go to a web page, it just connects to GPRS).
Has anyone any ideas how I can use both the Internet and open network paths over my network without changing the connection settings each time please? This worked fine on my Windows 2003 pocket PC!
Thanks

This is a bit of pantsness on the part of Microsoft.
I've had exactly the same problem. I'm not entirely sure how to fix it, but I went into the WiFi settings, and configured the 'Network Adapters' section so that that 'My network card connects to:' Work.
Then I went to the Connections Settings window, selected the 'Advanced' tab, and clicked the 'Select Networks' button.
I made sure that the top setting was configured to connect to the Work network, while the bottom setting connects thruogh dial up (in my case, my Bluetooth modem).
This worked for me, but it involved a lot of fumbling about, and trial and error...
HTH.
