Red face Orbit 2: time setting

Hi,
A newbie to the forum; this is a very useful resource.

I've got an Orbit 2, and have played with some of the settings after reading the discussions. I find that the clock displayed at the tp right hand corner of the screen is slower by 30 seconds than the time on the actual time setting screen. Anyone know why, and is there a way to correct this? Also, I'd like the time to be displayed as AM or PM, but cannot find a setting to do this.
Another query: is O2 Plus 2.3 older or newer than the version that comes with my phone?

Many thanks

Re: Orbit 2: time setting

Hi Cynical, welcome to 4WM!

I've never noticed the slight time difference myself as I hardly use the function.

As to the second option re am or pm, the British settings, by default, switch to 24 hour clock but if you go to...

Start/Settings/System and tap on Regional Settings and then the Time tab you can select a time style - HH:mm:ss should be shown (24hr) but use the drop down box to select either hh:mm:ss for AM/PM but with 2 digit hours or h:mm:ss for single digit hours...

Hope that helps!

Newer I believe.
Be careful though - you cannot install it on top of the other Plus version. What you have to do is hard reset your device, then it will countdown to installing O2 customisations - do a soft reset before the countdown finishes so that the customisations do not run. Then you can install O2 plus 2.3 successfully, and set about rebuilding your phone; don't restore a pre-hard reset backup. You will probably want to run one or two of the O2 customisations manually, such as Copilot.

Mines the same, only the taskbar clock is only 15 seconds behind!

This doesn't seem to affect the taskbar clock display- if the settings are for hh:mm:tt or h:mm:tt for AM/PM display, you still only get the 'numbers' in the taskbar without the AM/PM indicator.

Re: Orbit 2: time setting

I think if I remember correctly the difference is simply from the time between the clock being checked and the today screen being redrawn.
