Re: Software preferences for Orbit 2
No I didn't install the customisations either Dave, especially running a Vodafone sim on it.

Re: Software preferences for Orbit 2
Thanks for you answers guys...Just seems that now I've got the programs I like and the homescreen I like, there's stuff I'd like rid of..
Cyclist,, this is a getting a bit too close for comfort now, but I too went to see 'Clue' the other day. You'll be relieved to hear that this was at the Hammersmith Apollo, rather than the Lowry though...
Here's the O2 software pref story though.. Discovered when I got home that I'd lost my bloody keys though...
Therefore, it was a night in the local hotel for me... No tv...
Soo thank you thank you to my little Orbit... Newsnight, over wifi on RealPlayer.....
Errr like are you going to see Dad's Army, at Buxton.. lol.... I might run it in Hatfield myself at the end of May....
Brand new tech, old fogeyism?

No way, cycles fast in opposite direction!
Next tickets are for the Yamato drummers of Japan at the Lowry again next week. Don't know where else they are on.

Plenty of room for us fogeys around here. But I have just had blue streaks in my hair - electric blue, not a blue rinse!

A bit off topic I know (don't worry, I'll shush)...
Were you treated to the spectacle of Hump blowing his own horn, in full view of everybody, whilst sat down, on stage?
Oh and we went for the world record Kazoo blow.... All 3,500 of us photographed, at the Hammersmith Apollo...
Orbit's camera - it doesn't half take some pressing of the button to take a picture though.. This of the cast on stage....

Yes, and same at the Lowry. I reckon the show is following a more or less fixed script.

Re: Software preferences for Orbit 2
I read this stuff with interest (apart from what seemed to be personal messages interleaved), but did not find it helpful - sorry - e.g. WHICH versions of mobipocket or ereader work with the Orbit 2? How does one find out? I am so disappointed in it and wish I never abandoned Palm - at least Palms worked properly, the Orbit 2 does not even speak with a Mac and O2 support is so poor I have taken to emailing them daily to try and get some kind of intelligible answer. All my Palm stuff seems to be unable to be transferred to the Orbit 2 but other people I know got their palm stuff across to vodaphone pdas - ereader, mobipocket, dictionaries etc. In desperation I even tried loading O2s software onto my home PC instead of my trusty Mac, but it would not install properly. Then I bought Missingsynch from Marksspace for my Mac, what a waste of money and their tech help don't do much better than O2. Suggestions (other than hitting the Orbit 2 with a sledge hammer) welcome.

Re: Software preferences for Orbit 2
The orbit 2 uses the latest (currently) version of the Windows OS so the latest version of any WM software should work fine. I'm currently using v5.3 of MobiPocket and I have the Encyclopedia Britannica and the Oxford Dictionary & Thesaurus for it. They all work brilliantly.
I'm afraid I can't help with the Mac thing. I know some people do have WM devies working with Macs but I don't know how they've done it.

Re: Software preferences for Orbit 2
I use a Mac here, but I still connect my PDA to Windows XP running under the Parallels Virtual Machine software...
There is a native program for the Mac that allows you to sync a windows mobile PDA, I've never used it though. It's called Missing Sync and you can find it here.
