Streaming Media & Youtube

Hi folks,
When I go to Youtube and try and watch a video, it goes straight onto 'Streaming Media' in Media Player. I then always get an error saying 'failed to connect to network'
This is always the case when downloading over 3G/GPR etc. If I try and do the same but using wi-fi, it always plays the streaming media fine!
Any ideas?

Damian

Re: Streaming Media & Youtube

Sounds like your data plan with your service provider doesn't support streaming media which is, I believe, fairly common. Most of them have their own music/video services so, obviously, they would far rather you pay them for premium content than stream it for free over their network

Thanks Bassey, I'm with o2, do you know of a way round this? I thought it would be ok as o2 rant and rave about youtube and the iPhone.

Re: Streaming Media & Youtube

Its the same with t mobile (see the thread below). Fortunately, you can get utube by other means, such as TCMCP and flash bundle, Coreplayer or V Tap.
