O2 Custom Today Plugin Not Loading

Hi All,

Just received my O2 XDA Orbit 2 today which replaces my current Orbit.

Everything is setup and working fine but the O2 Custom Today Plugin has not loaded and I can't find any way to get it working.

On my Orbit there was a small round icon at the bottom of the screen from which I could load and configure the program. In the Today Screen Items I could select items like LAST CALL, PROFILES, METERS etc but none of these options are present.

I have run the O2 operator settings which has set everything else up and I have tried resetting the unit but no luck.

Any ideas please ?

Sounds like you might have to do a hard reset. This would kick off the O2 Custom Today Plug In.

Although, I think there is a newer version of the Plug In available

Found a fix for this in the end without the need for a hard reset. In case anyone else has this problem, use File Explorer on the device and browse for this file:

My Device\Windows\o2custom-01030108.cab

Click on it and it will install the O2 Custom Today Plugin.

Glad to hear you got it fixed.
Graffen is right, O2 Plus v2.3 is available here (O2 Plus 2.3 today shortcut plugin, task manager and more), and is better than the version that came in my Orbit 2 Rom.

Note that you cannot install 2.3 on top of the earlier version. So far as I know the only way to use 2.3 is:
- hard reset
- on first start up after hard reset there is a message about running customisations after 3 seconds. Soft reset before the customisations start.
- install 2.3.
Don't try to restore a backup.
