Official o2 UK rom (dumped)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=373233

All the roms are there.... A bit ambitious for me, I'll grant you, but it would allow one to play with the bebe wm 6.1 and all that...

Re: Official o2 UK rom (dumped)

There are a couple of things to consider if you decide to try a cooked rom, the original rom you give is the operating system only and comes with no splash screens (the start up screens) so if you decide to flash a different rom you will need these to flash back to the original.

Before flashing any rom you need to install Hard SPL for the Polaris to enable you to flash different roms onto your device, it alters the standard bootloader. If you needed to return your device for repair you would also need to put back the original bootloader.

I have tried bepe's rom and to be honest I prefer the O2 rom! I was able to return to standard because I have access to the original O2 rom but cannot share or upload it anywhere because I am under an NDA with O2.

Yes sorry, Boz.. I suspect I'm meddling in things that I don't really understand to be honest... Have I opened a can of worms, that you'd rather I hadn't... I know that the xda forum site is bit hardcore....

Would you rather I deleted the thread....More than happy to if you want...

Re: Official o2 UK rom (dumped)

There is no problem at all.

We take pride here in our roms and radios and we are glad to help out. I am just trying to warn you of the pitfalls in flashing a different rom, it is quite straightforwad enough to do, but is sometimes a different proposition getting the device back to how you bought it, especially if the device is a new model and not all the required pieces are available for download to reconstruct it.
