Re: Lost Maps for co-pilot
You should have a backup copy of the maps on the CPL7 support CD.

Alternatively, you can go into the Copilot Central desktop application, go into the section for creating new maps - click on the region(s) that you are authorised for and new copies of the maps will be downloaded to your device.

Re: Lost Maps for co-pilot
I've not so much lost my maps as have no idea how to move them so they'll be recognised by my brand spanking new 8gb card.
I encrypted the 1gb card, that came with device, using the Orbit's built in encryption, thingy..
I've copied them to the new card, so they are there, but when I open Copilot, it says "No maps installed".
Anybody any bright ideas, some of you must have upgraded your storage card by now, surely...
30 quid by the way, including free p&p.. Not bad that..

Does your new storage card show up in file explorer as "Storage Card" or "Storage Card 2" ?.

Re: Lost Maps for co-pilot
Ahh yes Michael. I remember some conversation about that before, on here... Nope 'Storage Card' it is....
Me thinks it's something to do with either Copilot hasn't quite got it's head round it yet, it needs a soft reset (tried that) and or the encryption..
I'll have another fiddle later..

Re: Lost Maps for co-pilot
Wow a total solved thread, it would appear then.
I reinstalled the maps from my main machine at home and the Orbit and it's new 8gb card now appear happy..
So all's well that ends well, for everybody, it seems.

Re: Lost Maps for co-pilot
wingy999...
did you copy anything else from the 1GB card to the new 8GB card?
Reason I ask - with your card being encrypted, I'm thinking that if you used your PC to copy the files, they will be encrypted and only readable on the 1GB card.
(or maybe I'm wrong - it's usually the case )
