Unhappy o2 Orbit - How do I put shortcut on?

Hi everyone,

Just bought my first o2 Orbit and I have installed TomTom sat nav via SD Card which works fine. However I have to go through various menus to locate the software on the SD Card to launch it and want to put a shortcut on my Today menu or equivalent.

Does anyone know how to do this? I have tried to copy the TomTom software and paste into program files but it is too big.

Help!

Click 'start', 'settings' and then the 'Today' icon. Thereis a tab down the bottom called 'Items' - select that one! I believe there is a plugin for TomTom there! Select it and press OK in top right hand corner.

I am working on the assumption that TT has a plugin. Not having it installed myself I cant verify this??? But you might be lucky

Re: o2 Orbit - How do I put shortcut on?

That wont work after a manual installation.

To create a shortcut, use File Explorer to locate the TomTom exe file and then tap Menu/Edit/Copy

Now go to Windows/Start Menu/Programs and select Menu/Edit/Paste Shortcut. If you wish, you can then rename the resulting shortcut to remove the `Shortcut to...`

The link will now appear in Programs
