help cant get bluetooth or wifi to work

any help welcome,this my first windows mobile and it is beginning to feel like a mistake.

Cant get either of them to work,orbit sees router and says connected to my home network and router says orbit is connected but when i go to ie it cant get a connection

similar problem with bluetooth both phones can see each other and accept pass codes but fails when i try to send anything.

been through forums and tried everything i can find on forum too no avail.

Bluetooth wise have you checked you have "Send all beams" enabled in Settings - Connections?

yes beams is set to accept all,but will have a read of link.

You're obviously trying to send/receive with one of your devices being your Orbit2, but what is the second device?

sony ericsson k800i which can send and recieve ok

Have you tried it with another pocket pc or even just a different phone? Both Nokia and SE can be guilty of tweaking the bluetooth standard a little.

No but will try ir with a samsung tomorrow and see what happens and let you know tomorrow.

hey hey looks like it is SE thing after all, got paired with a samsung this morning and forgot last night that laptop has bluetooth as well so tried that this morning and worked like a dream.

So willl try and sort the wifi tonight

No problem, like I said, both Nokia and SE can be a bit naughty by changing slightly the way the bluetooth works and some windows mobile devices tend to be a bit particular about who they connect to.

progress of sorts,still cant connect via explorer but i downloaded yahoo!go2 the other day so tried that and guess what i can connect to net through my router using it.

Q. is it possible that yahoo has screwed up IE settings(have done a soft reboot earlier today before i tried yahoo).

if so if i uninstall it do you think IE will work again or will just do a hard reboot?
