O2 Orbit 2 Stuck in Bootload Loop

I was installing HTC Homeplugin and some other add-ons. Installed and did the soft reset. O2 screen appears, then Windows Mobile screen, then it starts all over again. I tried to hard reset but it didn't work. I need the original O2 XDA UK English ROM or a very good, stable WinMo 6.1 Diamond ROM.

Re: O2 Orbit 2 Stuck in Bootload Loop

I don't think the O2 launch ROM has been released yet. There are loads of WM6.1 ROMs out there, all with different flavours you'll be best looking at the upgrade forum at XDA-devs, see which one suits you.

As a matter interest xchicagoan5 what other apps did you install?

The O2 rom is available as a dumped OS only so that may be of help, you can find it here.

Re: O2 Orbit 2 Stuck in Bootload Loop

I installed HTC Home Plug In (to SD card), HTC Customizer (to SD card) and a battery indicator in the Windows Start Up File. These are all apps I had installed before on previous devices including my HTC 3470 and AT&T Tilt -with no problem. This problem is much more daunting because it just loops and loops. It shows the O2 start screen, goes to the Windows Mobile screen, vibrates and then starts all over again. Any ideas on how I get out of boot mode would be great. I know how to do Hard SPL, Flash a ROM etc. I have found several ROMs over at XDA. However, I can't get it out of the boot mode to flash it.

Re: O2 Orbit 2 Stuck in Bootload Loop

I have my suspicion that installing something such as HTC Home (a core app) to the SD card is the issue at play here.

I take it the SD card is not in the device? If that's the case it may be trying to find something on there and can't so reboots. If the SD card is in there, try without.

Re: O2 Orbit 2 Stuck in Bootload Loop

You are probably right Tony, today plugins should definitely be installed onto the device not the storage card.
