Ringtone stuck on orbit2

Hi guys wondering if you could help. my ringtone is stuck! i can change it in the settings menu and it saves the change but when i call the phone it keeps playing the other tune it is stuck on. Anyone else come across this as its driving me insane. Many thanks.

Sorry to hear of your problem, it is one of those niggles that can drive you nuts! Do your store your ringtones on the memory card or do you mean the default Windows ringtones?

I would try a power off and back on and see if that does the trick.

Hold the power button in until you get an on screen message confirming your action and turn the device off, give it 10 seconds and power it back on. Let us know how you get on.

Are you sure you have not over ridden the default ringtone with a custom one for the number you are using call and test? (check in Contacts / Edit)

Thanks for replies, i have not added any new ringtunes this is all with the standard ring tunes that come with it and have not moved them to another folder etc. I have tried turning it off and no to no avail and have tried calling it with multiple different numbers to enusre i havent set any specific ringtunes for a number indadvertidly. but continues to play the same tune despite what it has stored as a selection in the settings menu. Open to suggestions

Ah eurka i got it. If the device volume is turned down, even though the phone volume is turned up it will not let you change the ringtune, both the device volume and phone volume have to be turned up before it will let you change.....odd!!??
