Orbit2 dust under the screen.

Any of you guys suffering with dust under the screen on your Orbit2's? As you all know I'm office based and I don't work in dusty environments (plays havoc with my sinuses) but I have quit a lot of dust UNDER the top level of the screen. It only seems to have affected the bottom of the screen but it has got to the point where I struggle to see the bottom of the screen in daylight because the light shines off the dust. Anyone else got dust issues?

Re: Orbit2 dust under the screen.

I've just had a very close look at my Touch Cruise under strong light and I can't see any signs of dust under the screen. Whilst I also work in a dust-free office environment, I've been taking the TC out with me on my Mountain Bike recently, tearing along dusty forest tracks etc.

It'll be interesting to hear from other Orbit II owners though.

Re: Orbit2 dust under the screen.

It's not a problem I've ever had with a HTC device before. I'm wondering whether I have a blown seal or something.

Very strange wavey, I have a had a close look at mine and it is as clean as a whistle, I can't really see where dust can get in to be honest.

Re: Orbit2 dust under the screen.

It looks to me like it has got in between the platicky button panel and the screen. Then somehow underneath the screen cover. I think a call to O2 may be required.

Re: Orbit2 dust under the screen.

No chance. You can see that it's below the screen cover. I removed the screen protector film earlier just be 100% but you can definitley tell it's got beneath the Touch layer if that makes sense.

Re: Orbit2 dust under the screen.

that doesn't sound too great at all.

swap it whilst the warranty is there i suppose. how strange that there is room for anything to get under there.

Re: Orbit2 dust under the screen.

My guess it that there is a seal and it not sitting correctly. To be honest I think it's been like it from day one and the dust has gradually got in. Today when the sun was bright I just couldn't see the soft keys for "sparkles".
