wired handsfree
I've been pondering exactly how you would be able to use the supplied USB stereo headset on a call. What microphone is used? Does it pick up your voice from the Orbit's own mic? What if it's in a pocket? Most wired handsfree headsets have a mic as part of the cable, how are you supposed to use the supplied headset then which has no such mic?
Am I just being stupid here?

Re: wired handsfree
You should have two parts to your headset. A set of headphone and then a connector they plug into with a colume control on. This volume control bit has the microphone contained within it.

And remember, there are no stupid questions, just stupid people that are afraid to ask the question....

Ah, now I can see the small hole, that explains it. I looked before but didn't spot that. Shame the manual makes no reference to this fact, or to actually using the phone with the wired headset at all.
Thanks for that.

Re: wired handsfree
It's probably because O2 supply a non-standard headset (2 pieces). HTC owners get a standard wired headset with no separate controller for music. O2 supply pretty much the same as comes with their version of the Kaiser (O2 Stellar).

Re: wired handsfree
Although the same controller as supplied by O2 as standard is available as an optional extra from HTC for Touch Crusie owners. Just in case you weren't confused enough!

Re: wired handsfree
The 2 piece headset is very handy though as you can use your own headset plugged into the control unit as I do with an in ear set, lots more comfortable than the standard set, for me anyway.

Re: wired handsfree
Yup,
I use a pair of Sennheiser in-ear buds with it. Nice.....
Plantronics BT Headset when in the car though....
