... and that worked. The speed cams are working again now, didn't before. There is something not quite right with the Copilot desktop updater, it keeps crashing, so maybe I'll reinstall that too.

Re: CoPilot has stopped!

I reinstalled mine recently and got a truck load of updates. That said, I was running with the version that came supplied with the device!

Re: CoPilot has stopped!

Sounds like you guys have sorted it. Mine still wont work!

I did the Hard Reset & reinstall (no joy) so contacted ALK customer services (who were slow to respond) and have been asked to reformat my card using a card reader and then reinstall from Co-Pilot central.

As I dont possess a card reader cable of reading a Micro SD, can anyone tell me if connecting my phone and using it as a reader will cause any problems, as customer Services "recommend" using a reader?

Re: CoPilot has stopped!

Mule,

They've fed you a line here!

You shouldn't format a memory card as you'll never get the same quality of format that the low-level format from the manufacturer provides.

Best thing to do is to keep it in the device and copy anything you want to keep off the card to the PC then delete everything on the card.

You should then be able to copy eveything back on or re-install Co-Pilot from the desktop (PC) app.

When I got my Orbit 2 the Co-Pilot MicroSD (Transcend) card had a corrupt FAT, deleting all the files and re-installing from the Central app cured it.

Give that a try!

Re: CoPilot has stopped!

Am now getting annoyed with this!

I deleted everything on the storage card and tried to reinstall the softwars from Copilot central. Halfway through the transfer an error message comes up about being unable to delete "storage card\copilot\EU" which cancels the transfer.

Ive tried installing to the storage card and when that failed installed onto the device itself. This proved the most promising as I went through all the registration details but it then crashed and wouldnt open a second time!

Thats a whole evening wasted!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions? And do you known where I stand with O2 on this, as it was a prebundled package?

Re: CoPilot has stopped!

If you go back to O2 and say you have a faulty card then they _should_ send you a new card out - IMHO of course.
