Troubles with lycos mail of xda II

All my other e-mail accounts setup work fine but im having real trouble gettting lycos mail to work, it sets it up automatically all well and good, but the on entering username and password (which is correct) says it does no recognise account. Have have set it up manually and still no joy. Anybody else experiencing these troubles. Many thanks.

Have you checked that the lycos account has pop access enabled? I know with some webmail providers, by default pop access is turned off.

I have a free Lycos account. I'm fairly sure that to get POP3 access I need to upgrade to a paid for account.
