TouchFLO Items (Remove Copilot and add Tomtom

Apologies in advance if there is already a thread for this. I have decided to remove Copilot from my Orbit 2 and install Tomtom instead. If I uninstall CP will this also remove the icon from the TouchFLO interface (where it is top right item on one of the 6 item menus?)

Similarly, once I have installed TT6 can I add an icon for this into the same place where the CP icon once was?

If this requires somne jiggery pokery with CAB files or playing with the code on the ROM, detailed instructions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Harry

Hi Harry, if you remove Co Pilot the icon will remain there on the cube, you can replace it though with the Tomtom icon, if you look at this thread here (!!! Customise your HTC Touch cube animation, icons and programmes !!!) it will give you the links and instructions you need to achieve it.

I did this when my Orbit2 arrived - worked well apart from the TomTom icon was smaller than the rest.

Don't bother now. I use a launcher from the today screen....

It is easy to resize though using a photo editor and an icon lifted from elswhere.

Quicker using the Today launcher! Hardly use Cube apart from dialling favourites when in the car....

True enough Tony I don't use the cube at all myself, I wouldn't even notice if it wasn't there!

Hmmm...yes I forgot about the Today Launcher. I tend to use this more than the cube as well.

Off topic - I just returned from a trip to Newcastle where a (business class) contract taxi firm used by my clients had an interesting implementation using HTC P3470 phones. It seemed like it was managing the bookings, integrating sat nav etc. I may try and aks the next time I'm up there.
