Re: Exchange server setup for Orbit 2
Are you asking how to setup your Orbit 2 with an exisiting server or are you wanting to setup the server as well?
If you just want to know how to connect the Orbit2 to the server it's quite straight forward.
Start - Programs - ActiveSync.
Select setup with Exchange server.
If you get prompted to put in your email address then put that in.
Select manual to enter details if asked.
Enter your OWA URL, leave SSL checked.
Enter your username, password and domain name.
Click Next, then click Finish.
That should be it. It should now go away and sync.

Re: Exchange server setup for Orbit 2
And I'd recommend doing this whilst connected over WiFi if possible, otherwise (depending on how much data is in your Exchange account) it could take a long while and eat a huge chunk out of your monthly data allowance!

Re: Exchange server setup for Orbit 2
Thanks for the help guys, however I am trying to configure the server which is Windows 2003 and exchange 2003. I have tried the above but the device isn't synchronising.
The following error message is always received when attempting to synchronise:
"The security certificate on the server is not valid. Contact your Exchange server administrator or ISP to install a valid certificate on the server.
Support code: 80072f0d"
Our exchange server adminstrator has installed a valid certificate on the server.
So we need a walk through for setting up the exchange side and on the mobile device. Many thanks.

Re: Exchange server setup for Orbit 2
Have you installed the certificate on your device? to find out if you need to use IE and connect to the OWA from you device. if you're asked for a valid certificate then install it. before exchange will allow you to connect

Re: Exchange server setup for Orbit 2
Can access OWA from any pc based machine however it doesn't seem to be working from the Orbit. Have installed certificate but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Re: Exchange server setup for Orbit 2
Your mobile doesn't automatically download the intermediate servers like your desktop does so you will need to install all of these on your device. Your exchange administrator will be able to provide these for you.
