help with re-installing co-pilot 7 on orbit II

Hi guys, i recently got an 8gb sandisk so tried to re-install everything on it. i uninstalled co-pilot from the device then re-installed the package and associated files onto my new storage card. however when i go to load it up there are no language or voice options for me to choose and i have to leave them blank and progress to the next screen. i then click 'miles' then the next screen gives a warning about driving and using the device at the same time. when i click accept on this the button turns yellow but the programme will not go any further and i have to manually exit it. i have since tried re-installing everything again and even copying old files onto my laptop then pasted then into the new card but it still will not work. On my storage card i have 2577 and Copilot folders, complete with all speech files.

Can someone please offer any suggestions as to why this may not work?

thanks,

Kevin

When you were copying from the old card to the new were you doing it via ActiveSync or via a card reder?

Re: help with re-installing co-pilot 7 on orbit II

Hi, i tried it again this morning, prior to reading your reply, via card reader and can happily say that it seemed to work fine this time. Thanks for your reply though.

I stumbled across this forum when looking for help on this problem, however i just wondered if there are any other particular add ons for this phone that can maximise its potential?

It is important when carrying out file activities like this to use a card reader as Active Sync can miss at times data that needs to be copied.

There are all sorts of applications that can be added, it depends on what usage you wish to put the device to?

Ooooh, there are thousands, literally!

As windows states above, it really depends on what you want to do - there are obviously the GPS related applications, there's all the e-mail and browsing you can shake a stick at. Media - listening to music, watching videos....

You name it - there will be something suitable!

Re: help with re-installing co-pilot 7 on orbit II

woah i never realised there would be that many! ha ha!

i just wondered if there were any particularly good or helpful free packages, nothing in particular though. is there a list or database of any of them so i can see what there is? speed cameras would be handy, as would any general upgrades, however if you can think of any must haves that you often use, please feel free to suggest it.

cheers!

Re: help with re-installing co-pilot 7 on orbit II

I had the same problems with installing CoPilot, mine was version 7.
However, the Support guys of my vendor - www.pressdigital.com.au did take me through the process on phone and I was through.
However, I just could not understand the technicality of it just kept doing what they told me.
