Re: cant get in to the message screen

That's a strange one, especially if a soft-reset hasn't brought things back to life.

Have you tried a full power down, leave for a few minutes (even take battery out) and then restart?

If even this fails there may be something more serious with the ROM.

Have you installed any third party apps since you last used it? Might be some sort of conflict....

Also do you have a storage card in the device? Do you have Messaging set to save attachments there? Could be a corrupt card stopping it from running.

(clutching at straws now)

Please let us know the outcome, you never know if it happens to someone else in the future....

Certainly a weird one!

Re: cant get in to the message screen

I had exactly this problem last week - did a full reset & reinstalled/resynced everything. Prefer your fix of removing the battery for 10...

Re: cant get in to the message screen

this "nasty" little issue also occurs when you save attachments to your storage card. when it happened to me, i disable saving attachments to the storage card, soft reset and then re-enabled saving to the storage card. so far no problems. curious to know if the OP was saving attachments to the storage card? glad to know you've got it fixed!

Re: cant get in to the message screen

hi Davey - can you access everything else on the storage card ok?
could potentially be a problem with the storage card then.
if you have a backup of everything, you could put the memory card into a PC card reader and remove the "Inbox.mstxxxxx" folder from the memory card and try again, enabling save attachments to card.
