Wm6.1

Anyone have any idea at all when/if O2 will release a 6.1 ROM for the Orbit2?

Re: Wm6.1

I certainly hope so!
I've stuck Manilla 2D on for now just to freshen things up a bit, I'm too scared to try the UDK rom so I'll sit and wait for the O2 one.......

It can't be much longer as the German update is now out.

Re: Wm6.1

Hi, the ROM is as sweet as a nut, I have run it for a while as I helped test it. Have a look at the thread below where you can read more about it.

Re: Wm6.1

All upgraded today.
Really not sure about it. Seems to be slow at some points although I'm putting that down to me possibly expecting a bit too much.
I do like the threaded sms and the fact that opera is bundled with it but overall I'm a bit underwhelmed.

Re: Wm6.1

It shouldn't be slow, if it isn't too much trouble try a hard reset, it is always good practice after a ROM install, any errant drivers will be installed properly.

Re: Wm6.1

thanks Boz missed that thread

Btw can you tell me does it affect CoPilot in any way i mean i hear it wipes the device clean would i then have to just reinstall CoPilot as when i bought my phone i think part of CoPilot was in the ROM?

Finally i have seen some issues with sending email when using SMTP (see link)

Windows Mobile 6.1 SMTP issues

Have you had this problem too - is there any fix yet for this if it is a problem on the orbit 2. Also i assume most third party software is compatible with 6.1?

Thanks again

Re: Wm6.1

You shouldn't have any problems with TP software if it runs on WM6.

Your Orbit2 will have Copilot installed in the O2 ROM and this should be the same with the WM6.1 ROM, so there shouldn't be any issues there.

As far as your smtp issues goes, what have you set your smtp server to?
