Re: New UDK polaris rom

I'm up and running with this ROM and it's amazing. Smooth and reliable.

A few people have reported a variety of issues but mine is fine. I haven't tried QuickGPS yet (one of the minor issues) but initial thoughts are extremely positive.

Re: New UDK polaris rom

i loaded this ROM the first night it was posted; however, after a couple of days, i experienced slow response issues using the mail tab and the diamond-type keyboards. i also had reception issues with the updated radio (keep in mine that i'm in the USA). sooooooooooooo.... i flashed back to the Bepe 0.67 ROM, the original Orbit 2 radio and loaded the Manilla 2d plugin. i'm having a much better experience with this setup. the memory-in-use footprint is at 40% after a soft-rest and the TouchFlo2d responsiveness is much more to my liking. either way (udK ROM of Manilla 2d plugin) i like the look on my Orbit 2! it's getting me prepared for my Sprint Touch Diamond which should be in my hands in the next day or so! you gotta love what the guys at xda-developers do with these devices!

Re: New UDK polaris rom

It is amazing isn't it Cortez. I just wish I had the time to cook a ROM of my own!

I've had no issues with the udK Syrius ROM whatsoever but I'm not so sure about the TouchFlo interface but I am persevering!

It's the fact it hides the Today screen so completely that's the issue and so I haven't installed things like PhoneAlarm for auto profile switching etc which is a bit of a pain. I may just disable the TouchFlo and see how that goes.....

Re: New UDK polaris rom

Can't you just use the softkey changer cab file and map PhoneAlarm to the existing 'phone' key?
