3 Mobile Internet Settings

In a previous thread, someone mentioned that a few of you learned gentlemen use "3" SIMs in your WM devices to take advantage of cheaper data rates. I now have my Orbit 2 and hve put my 3 SIM into it, but I need a little help with the settings to allow it to connect to the web. The only GPRS connection set up on the phone at the moment is an O2 one, and I ned to change that to a 3 one but I do not know the settings.

The 3 SIM I have is a PAYG with an unlimited Web add-on.

I hope you can help me.

Thanks, Stefan.

Create a new GPRS Connection (Settings/Connections/Connections then in top section 'Add Modem Connection', and set to Cellular Line (3G/GPRS)

Use these settings:

3 GPRS connection
------------------
Name : 3 GPRS
Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
APN : three.co.uk
User : leave blank
Pass : leave blank

Glad this worked for you but do remember that Three use O2 as a roaming partner, I have often obtained an O2 connection although I don't use a Three sim in my WM device but did have it in a data card in my laptop until I got a Vodafone one through work.

<erm> Dave, Three have been using Orange as their roaming partner for the last 3 years, though I believe there are a very small number of O2 cells still being used.

They are supposed to be moving to mast sharing with T-Mobile next year, though will still be using Orange as a roaming partner
