I can send just very short sms

hi everybody, Im really in a big trouble regarding sending sms. I can actually just send the shortest messages that can merely reach 6 to 7 words. I choose GSM from the SMS Service but it doesnt helped. i actually use windows mobile 6.1 with M-Amine rom.
pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzeeeee eeeeeeee help me if u can. what ever the message text is more than that number i get an error message that this message cannot be sent. so please if any body of u have any idea help me. and of course my htc is polaris..

which mobile operator (and country) are you using?

have you tried your SIM in another device to see if the problem is reproducible?
if so, you should consider contacting your customer services department for your network operator to request a new SIM or see if there are any restrictions.

if you can't reproduce the issue, we'll see if there is anything to check.

Which language are you using? You might try going into Messaging/Options then SMS options, and uncheck the 'Use Unicode' box.

Some languages or characters use Unicode but this usually takes twice the character space of standard ASCII, which will halve the number of characters available to send. Generally though, this will simply send the message as a multiple message, though some operators may not allow that.

Ill first use my sim in another cellphone and will see if i have the same problem, if so i have to change sim,
I uncheked for unicode but no change happened. Im in Iraq now and use a local iraqi network.
