best explaination so far suggests that the name prodigy was used internally within HTC before the device was released and subsequently named Wizard.

Whatever the naming, there are still 2 distinct variations of the basic model, though the square version never made it to the UK thank goodness.

My understanding is the same as Neil's:

The name Wizard should be seen as the 'family' name. Within the Wizard family there are 3 different devices - WIZA100, WIZA110 and WIZA200.

The HTC name for the WIZA200 is Prodigy. Its the one all UK carriers have gone with.

I used XDA-Developers for sourcing my WM6 upgrade for my wife's O2 MiniS. the site is far more technical than this but you can usually find an answer.

They even have a section for G4 devices....
