Re: HTC Shift coming closer
Hi Bluegriffin, as neilm says, great setup there. I've just installed the beta of Textmaker & Planmaker to see if I will make these keepers on my device!!

Re: HTC Shift coming closer
Still on topic anyway.... sort of!
Pitting the capabilities of WM devices against the full Vista experience of the HTC Shift!
I'll wager that those with PPC experience that buy it will be posting their regrets on the forums not long after. As a first venture into mobile computing, buyers may well be impressed with it.

The software has been acquired over 2.5 years of using Windows Mobile, I don't think there's a lot else that I can expect the Ameo to do now, although it will be interesting to see how the latest version of Softmaker performs. The ability to convert Word to PDF sounds interesting and could be rather useful.

Re: HTC Shift coming closer
Someone's going to convince me I want one here, just after I talked myself out of it too!

Re: HTC Shift coming closer
We'll see what Mr. Windows has to say on the device... I doubt I'll go for one as I'd ideally want it to replace my work laptop, but I can't see them going for it!!

Re: HTC Shift coming closer
I'll be very much interested to know how you get on with it after the first couple of weeks.
There is no doubting it's awesomeness (yes i used the word awesomeness) but will it be practical for daily use?
Then again who cares if it's practical i'm sitting here with 4 wm devices and they haven't rung for ages.
