HTC Clinton Shift 4th generation

Dear All

Could you please help me in finding the mobile PC HTC shift which you can find in the link http://www.clintonfitch.com/wm6/htc/HTC%20Shift.jpg

I live in Chelmsford-Essex-CM1 2PD is my post code, where I can buy local and what would be the cost?

Do you suggest me for HTC clinton shift? is there any other alternative regarding price, quality and other mobile PC-handy with similar specifications as HTC.

Actually I am buying it for my brother who will be using it in India, are there service centres in India for this mobile PC if not which one do you suggest to buy with similar functions as that of HTC 4th generation.

Your sugesstions and advice would be appreciated.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2010 to all.
Many thanks for reading my thread, replying & even if not.

Cheers
Rakesh

Hi Rakesh and welcome to 4WM, a merry Christmas and a prosperus New Year to you too.

I think you will struggle to find a new HTC shift to be honest with you as HTC no longer manufacture them as far as I know. They were rather overpriced for what they were and you couldn't make or receive calls on them.

Have you thought about an alternative such as a netbook that takes a SIM card and is 3G capable? I have an Advent 3G netbook that is a very capable machine, it runs Windows 7 and has a 160GB hard drive. It does everything the HTC Shift can do, is far superior and lots less money too.

Not a problem Rakesh, I'm surprised you didn't get an email notification after subscribing to this thread, I have no problems and I don't think there any glitches in the system, strange.

Thread subscription is not turned on by default. To receive an email notice of a reply, go to the top of the thread and click the 'Thread Tools' button. From there you can select to subscribe, after which emails will be sent.
