HTC Touch HD may be T-Mobile's next Android phone

Rumours are spreading. mainly from PhoneDog (who?)......

I'm publishing this one as much because I want it to happen as anything else. I got it from two unrelated sources late last week that T-Mobile is prepping a version of HTC's Touch HD as their next Android phone. One of the sources was the ever talkative Anonymous Tipster, but the other one was somebody with a decent track record when it comes to accurately leaking info on upcoming handset releases. Neither of them are inside the folds of HTC or T-Mo, and no I haven't signed an NDA I'm trying to get around here.

Personally, I'd love to see a T-Mo branded (and subsidized) Touch HD running Android on the carrier's lovely new 3G network here in the U.S. Touch HD would give T-mo two things I think it needs: A flashy Android phone, and a tricked-out, high-end iPhone competitor.
Treat this as rumor and nothing more at this point, but if anything more comes of this one I'll be sure to let you know. I promise.

I am not sure about that I like the WM OS, but I haven't yet played with an Android device in the hand so to speak, only on T-Mobile's site simulator.

There's not been anything about Android yet that has sparked any interest in me....

Yes I get frustrated with WinMo but I get MORE frustrated with the iPhone and Android would cause me to throw a real wobbly!

Hmmm, I don't find the iPhone frustrating, I think it makes a great day to day phone with a bit more, but for my corporate use it's still WM. Well it's Blackberry again at the moment whilst I work on a different review...

Agreed that is exactly how I see my iPhone, a great leisure or everyday machine. Plus not that iPlayer works on it I'm well chuffed!

I don't want 2 phones though. I could probably use it as a going out phone from a functional perspective, but it's as big as a house and costs the same as 2 week skiing holiday. That's always been a major gripe for me. I seek the one true device to rule them all..... my precious......
