MMS on Touch HD

I have received a picture MMS. I can see the text, but a message then shows stating unable to download the remainder of message.

I must be doing something incorrect...???

What do I have to do to download the picture?

Re: MMS on Touch HD

Don't use MMS or have an HD2 but try looking at these threads:

http://forum.o2.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=32624
http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/htc...rface-hd2.html (MMS on HD2 on O2 random failing; poor interface on HD2.)

good luck

Re: MMS on Touch HD

Firstly,

have you sent or received MMS messages with that SIM card in other phones? If yes, then it appears to be an issue with the phone. If no then the SIM may not be registered with the Service Provider for MMS and you will need to call them to activate. Often you need to send an MMS first before you can receive (don't ask why!).

Cross these off and if it's still an issue we can look at the MMS settings on the device...

Re: MMS on Touch HD

Thanks for your replies, I have never sent MMS, I will try contacting O2.

Did not know that the SIM needed registering.

P.S. Have tried a Virgin SIM... functioned perfectly both send and receive.

Re: MMS on Touch HD

I have contacted O2, the account is set up for MMS.

I can neither send or Rx. MMS messages.

The settings appear to be correct, as per info that I have.

Did you try the Virgin SIM in your Touch HD, or another device? If it was in the TDH, then it suggests either the account settings, or the MMS settings on the phone are wrong.

Re: MMS on Touch HD

Just to clarify The Virgin SIM functions correctly in Touch HD.

The O2 SIM does not function in HD, but is ok in another 'phone.

The settings in the HD must be incorrect.

O2 state they do not have correct settings for Touch HD

Re: MMS on Touch HD

OK- you need to look in our FAQ (Q: What are the UK & ROI GPRS settings for Web. WAP, MMS) topic on connection configuration.

We have instructions for O2 MMS manual setup. Read through it then create (if it isn't already there!) and O2 WAP connection, then go and configure the MMS server.

Re: MMS on Touch HD

I entered the settings on the FAQ page, slightly different MMS settings on the HD.

There are several options under Connect via: I used the "My Work Network" in the drop down option.

Also the received pics are very small, this is a known problem in that the O2 network do not recognise the HD.

The cure is a registry hack that identifies the phone as an O2 supplied model.
