Re: Anyone got the new HTC Diamond yet?
Had you done any of the 'tweaks' to make Touchflo work better?

Yer I did the file system and cache ones (which worked) but some of the others do not - like face down.

Re: Anyone got the new HTC Diamond yet?
I only ever did 3, the 2 you did, file system & cache, and the wake on sms one.
Everything seemed fine for a few days, and then I got some really, really weird stuff happening. It started with a windows exception error, only resoved by soft reset, and that was happening every time i tried to 'wake' the device. Then Touchflo3d seemed to develop a mind of it's own, going straight past the function I'd selected and onto a random one. Lastly, I couldn't open some programs at all (all the ones installed to the internal storage) and when I explored, I found that I had 2 sets of program files on here, identical in every way. One at the top level, and another in my documents.
I did a hard reset (including the internal storage) and decided to go from scratch, with no tweaks. That was 9 days ago and I've had no trouble since. I can't prove that it was the tweaks wot dunnit, but I installed exactly the same programs to exactly the same locations and no trouble since.
I am phobic now about doing daily backups though!

Re: Anyone got the new HTC Diamond yet?
There seems to be a lot of people with different gremlins with this handset. Lets hope these minor issues are resolved.
I have just used HardSPL and installed a tweaked ROM - Elite 1.0. Lets see how that goes.
The only real issue I still have is TomTom being a bit slow, where TT does not keep up with my exact location and lags behind by a few seconds - which could result in me missing important turnings

Your Tomtom problem is unusual, I have tried quite a few WM 6.1 roms on various devices and have had no such worries, if anything Tomtom performs better, even on my motorcycle which doesn't hang about!

Indeed - vroom vroom zoom , it was fine with my black/blue trinity (6.1) ROM. I have tried TT with no applications active. I am going to try and re-install the original version as it seems to have picked up 6.030 update - which I believe was only for certain devices as well as the trinity

Re: Anyone got the new HTC Diamond yet?
I run version 6.032 with map version 660.1219, if that is of any help! Certain map versions can make Tomtom act strangely, performance and voice wise.

Re: Anyone got the new HTC Diamond yet?
I have just finished placing maps on my diamond. Didn't tweak memory or so until now (just touch sensitivity and some minor menu options).
907MB transferred in about 15 minutes, meaning hi-speed rather than full USB 2 (at about 1 MB/s). Decent though, beats my Samsung and my GF's Nokia with their USB 1.1...
Tomtom works nice. I'll check for the lagging in days to come (i ride my bicycle to get to my work).
EDIT: i run TT6.02 and 660.1256

Re: Anyone got the new HTC Diamond yet?
Um interesting information.
The DVD version of TT I have is 6.010 where as the install one is 6.030 (8320) maps v652.1024
I have never been prompted to update to anything else except the trinity version
EDIT: I managed to get the 6.032 version in a cab file and install that. I see the Maps are expensive. I presume the Western Europe one includes UK (like the DVD did) as I may as well upgrade to that for the extra £10 (total 39.95
