Register Review The Diamond

The register have done a very in-depth review of the Touch Diamond here. It's generally very positive, they are clearly impressed with the TouchFlo 3D thing and love the size/weight. The only real negative - and they regard it as a biggy - is the lack of MicroSD slot.

Still, a good read with some nice pics

Re: Register Review The Diamond

I've not read the review but I can hardly see how the lack of an SD slot on a phone with 4GB memory is an issue unless you intend to use it as a music/video source and it's not really designed for that....

Re: Register Review The Diamond

Exactly if one does not need to store vast amounts of music it seems to me to be an ideal device.

Re: Register Review The Diamond

HTC are marketing it as exactly that, a multimedia phone! What's the point of a multimedia phone that you can't put large amounts of multimedia on?

Re: Register Review The Diamond

I think my Diamond is a wonderful device as a communications device and 4 GB is more than enough storage for my needs.

Carrying a music, video player, camera and phone about all day can be cumbersome, so I see the need for people to have these gadgets combined into one device, but then again, when the battery goes dead you've lost all them devices.

Re: Register Review The Diamond

Agreed but with all the charging options around hopefully we can all keep our devices charged with the minimum of fuss?

Spare batteries and power packs are a boon.

Re: Register Review The Diamond

I've moved the discussion of how much digital music everyone has and how to rip it to a thread of its own here (Digital Music Collections).
See that thread for why I'm not in the market for a Diamond.
