Now that would be a dilemma! Mind you, most students I encounter these days have the ''live now, *** the future' attitude, so who knows!

Re: ROM version and Memory Usage - Slow Diamond

"Live now **** the future" is one thing, but a student without a mobile phone?

Re: ROM version and Memory Usage - Slow Diamond

OK, well I've got Orange Care Insurance thing, so if anything goes wrong with my phone I get a new in 24 hrs - reckon that covers me?

Is it worth updating ROM now or wait a few weeks till a solid, comprehensive version comes out that will hopefully make big speed increases rather than minor ones (am I hoping for too much?)

Also where do I get the ROMs from, I couldnt see them on modifymydiamond.info

Cheers NevYNev

The roms are mostly available here, and whether you wait or not is debatable and really your choice at the end of the day.

Please do read up well on the subject and be sure you know how it all works before proceeding to change roms, and don't forget to install Hard SPL first to prevent possible damage or worse to your device during the flashing process.

Re: ROM version and Memory Usage - Slow Diamond

Ah so many on there - which is the fastest UK ROM which will make the Touch flo 3d home fast and responsive - there is real delay on my current Rom when switching between panels (weather, music, people etc)... ? Do any of them make these switches and loading fast enough so there is no delay? Sometimes I'm waiting for almost a whole second for the screen to load - the whole point of the software is that its meant to make common tasks quickly accessible..

Thanks NevyNev

Re: ROM version and Memory Usage - Slow Diamond

I'm running hard spl 1.24 from here

And Duttys full v1.3 from here

There is also a lite version of this rom in the 2nd post. Have a read of what's in both and pick which one is best for you.

I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

(if there is anything you're not sure of though give us a shout first)

A handy thing to do once you have flashed the hardspl is to go into bootloader just to check it flashed.

(turn device off and then turn it on whilst holding down the volume down button)
