Calendar Default Display as Day View

One for Boz ?

How do I get Calendar to open in Day view from the Touch Flow home screen.

I've set Calendar\Menu\Tools\Options\Start in Day view, and also Calendar\Menu\View to Day but it still opens in Agenda.

Can't find anything in the registry.

Re: Calendar Default Display as Day View

Hi Rick you do like to test us out, this isn't an easy one!

It is possible through reg editing but there are lots of shortcuts that need replacing all related to poutlook.exe. The easiest way to do it is replace the existing calendar with ThumbCal, and change it's default by reg editing it to open in day view. Try the trial version to see if the edits below work first.

Just write the following in the calendar fields once ThumbCal has been installed:

"Program Files/ThumbCal/ThumbCal.exe -vd" (vd for day view)

I can't even guarantee this will work though!

There is a thread on it here at xda developers, I hope this helps.

And I thought you were Mr Diamond/ Ignito.

ThumbCal looks good. I might give it a go later. Doesn't look like it gels with TouchFlow though.

Maybe a cross between a Bondesque (007) character and Superman !!!

An hour of playing with Vijay's ideas on your link produced nothing. At one point after a soft reset calendar when opened from Today screen launched in Day but immediately went to Agenda. I'm sure windows\calendar.ink\properties\shortcut\Target has now changed. Any chance you could check yours. Mine says "\Windows\calendar.exe".

I'm sure it had "outres" or similar in their before I started messing !!
