Orange intenet on a TD

As you may remember I have set up my phone and laptop so I can use my Orange intenet account on my laptop using internet sharing from my phone.

I mainly use facebook really, and form the first I had a problem.

When I use Opera on the phone the pages wouldnt be displayed right, the buttons and text were all mixed up and I couldnt add comments because the buttons wouldnt work when I clicked them to add text {Opera > facebook users will know what I mean}

I thought it was the phone but I had the same problem when I was using my laptops browser {firefox or IE} and then I was on youtube and tried to watch a sexy video on there and a warning about adult content came up and told me to call 150 to get the blocked content safe guard removed.
I called them and got it removed and now facebook is working properly, even on the phones Opera browser it is displayed correctly.
But my problem now it that the data speed seems slow.
It takes ages for a page to come up if it does at all.

Has anybody else got a problem of slow connection like this?
The speed isnt bad when using the phones browser, but its still slow, and when on my laptop its always very slow

Re: Orange intenet on a TD

Might be worth contacting their data team and checking what speed is enabled on your SIM. There have been stories of certain telcos not enabling the full-speed HSDPA because they didn't think ordinary users would need it.

Re: Orange intenet on a TD

I have an Orange contract, and use it a fair amount for web surfing on my HTC Advantage. Over the last couple of days, the Orange connection has been dire- signal shows a good HSDPA strenght, but pages are slow, or they timeout before loading. I suspect there are some technical issues with Orange's distribution system.

Using my netbook with 3 PAYG SIM at the same time was way, way faster, even using full IE7 yesterday evening.
