New HTC Touch Pro

Hi all. Some of you will know that I have been a HTC Touch Dual user for a little while. I cannot get over how many pocket pc's I've had in the past 8 years - Well I just couldn't resist - and today, Mr Postman delivered to me a brand new HTC Touch Pro.

I know there have been some comments about it being a Brick - but ... seriously ... when its in your hand it is a work of beauty. This is an awesome peice of kit. Mind I am still hunting through the menu's for the kitchen sink! In you hand - it is trully magnificent - it is a good looker and despite what it has 'under the hood', it's pretty small. Significantly narrower and shorter than the TyTn II and very fractionally thinner!
The VGA screen (my first VGA device) is gorgeous - as is TouchFlo3D.
Has anyone else here got one - I'd be interested to share/exchange experiences?
The bit I like - viewing web pages or photos - turn the device and the screen turns from portrait to landscape automatically like the iPhone. The only disappointment here is that this doesn't work for all screen views.

So, the Touch Pro's a hit then?

How do you get on with the hardware keyboard? Some seem to find it a bit awkward to use.

Nice one Griph. I'm glad to hear that the tickness isn't as much of an issue as it looks in some of the online pics. I can't wait for one of the local stores to get one in so that I can have a little play. How is the TF3D running? The earliest Diamonds had some major problems in that department but you'd hope that would be sorted for the Raphael.

I'd be interested to hear how you think the keyboard compares to the Tytn II.

The keyboard is great no problems although the OK button is missing! It has a proper caps lock key. Not found it awkward at all - nice to have separate number keys too.

Re: New HTC Touch Pro

The TouchFlo3D is one of the main reasons why I bought it. The is a slight lag between activating a screen abduction the screen drawing. no more than a half second if not less.
One bug I've found using opera and keyboard using backspace key takes you out of opera to the landscape today screen! Annoying! It doesn't close opera thank God.

Re: New HTC Touch Pro

The separate number keys and keyboard quality generally, VGA screen and portrait/landscape were what attracted me to the Universal (Exec) all those years ago.

The Touch Pro definitely attracts me!
