The Touch Pro on Vodafone
Well i've finally got one.
They have stock for business and consumer as of yesterday.
In the box is the device itself, htc earphones, extra stylus, a leather sleeve/ case (which is very nice), the charger which connects to the usb cable and the various manuals and disks you'd expect.
My first impressions are a big well done for leaving it alone. It's basically a Htc touch pro with Vodafone discreetly written on the front just below the screen.
It feels reassuringly solid to hold and is a vast improvement aesthetically speaking from the kaiser.
The vodafone rom is very responsive and touchflo works well too.
I've only had a quick play using the keyboard and i'm sure when i get used to the luxury of 5 rows of keys i'll love it. Just got to work out where the buttons are.
I'll add more thoughts as i play a bit more.

Re: The Touch Pro on Vodafone
It does look very nice, Vodafone are pretty good now with their devices, is TouchFlo very responsive on it?

Re: The Touch Pro on Vodafone
Hi guys
I'm still thinking of this, the X1 or the HD.
One of my current concerns with the HD is the touch buttons - particularly for calling.
I know the Samsungs and early SE devices that had touch buttons became a nightmare as they were activated by accident particularly on the face when in call - eg accidentally hanging up.
The pro looks like it has touch buttons ... anyone have any ideas if this is a real problem ?
Paul.

Re: The Touch Pro on Vodafone
although I don't have one, I know people have reported that the Diamond (and Touch Pro) have issues with the touch screen being accesible when a call is being received.
So if the device is in your pocket and you receive a call, you could accidently activate the touch screen or reject the call.
There is an application available (actually there are quite a few where developers rose to the challenge) to lock the touchscreen, but still allow you to use the accept/reject call softkeys.
One of the applications is listed here:
[APP][17.09.08] Answerkeys Disabler (v0.3.1) - xda-developers

It was. It's even more responsive now as i've hard sple'd it and flashed JohanDC's cooked rom on it
I installed the cooked rom so that i could change various things i would have manually changed anyway like programs, theme, connection settings etc.. For me it was quicker to do with a rom flash but the rom seemed very stable the hour or so i used it for.
It's sim unlocked too which is always a nice bonus.

The keys can be a minor pain but the app FB pointed you to sorts that out.

What sort of times are you getting on subsequent locks?
