The Touch Pro on O2 (UK)
I emailed O2 yesterday asking when the XDA Serra would be launched. I got the following reply:
"I understand the XDA Serra to be the HTC Touch Pro. We are expecting to call this device the XDA Crystal and has an expected release date of 03 November 2008."
I am an XDA Stellar user and will seriously consider replacing it with the XDA Crystal as I think the Crystal will offer almost all of the same features but will have a better UI and will be faster to respond due to more memory.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for thta dg252, but I suspect someone has their wires crossed!
We understand that the HTC Touch Pro is going to be called the XDA Serra when it is released. There have been mentions of the XDA Crystal on the O2 forums, but they seem to be referring to a new, low spec ASUS WM device which is also known as the XDA Zest. Expected to be available on PAYG

I asked in store yesterday. i can pick up the Touch Diamond for free £35 a month on an 18 month contract, but the store had none in stock. I might hold out until Nov/Dec for the Touch Sierra and may well buy that as an early Birthday pressie to myself !!

My local store doesn't even have any dummy demonstrators when I went in to recheck whether it'd be suitable. Having said that, it doesn't have enough staff either.

Blimey Wirral- how may contracts tdo you have? You always seem to be in the market for an upgrade 
You'll soon have as many phones as some of the site staff

HAHAHA !! Just two. Cant afford any more these days especially with the credit crunch and besides 18 month contracts are a long time to have a commitment to

Just spoke to o2 as my contract is due for renewal before the end of November.
The XDA Serra is due to be released on the 10th November.
I was told they couldn't give me any pricing until it was actually released.
So aslong as I can get good deal on the device I may be renewing my contract with them.
XDA Stella anyone? |
