Re: HTC touch, WM6 activesync 4.5 outlook 2003 windows XP and PROBLEM!!
Excellent news Elly- a productive Xmas break!
This goes to show that there are still things under the bonnet we don't understand Did you reuse your old Outlook.pst file, or did you do an export/reimport in csv format?
This has been one of the most interesting (and frustrating) threads we have had for ages, and we've all scratched our heads in vain over the cause, and possible action.
Your input, and skill in adding to, investigating, then eliminating the options has helped us all I think in our understanding of these devices

It may have been a drastic way to get things sorted, but you are there, and in the long run it has got to be worth it. At least you have had the time during the holiday period to fathom it all out.
Happy New Year to you too.

OK- at least that shows the problem was much more deeply seated in the OS

Re: HTC touch, WM6 activesync 4.5 outlook 2003 windows XP and PROBLEM!!
Wow, thanks a bunch for all the great ideas posted in this thread. I had the exact same problem. Fixed it with a complete uninstall/reinstall of Activesync and then syncing one category at a time, ie synced notes first, then tasks, etc etc. You get the idea. Now it works. Im guessing it was my vast amount of contacts and large calender that caused it.
I would never have been able to solve it if it wasn´t for this thread. Thanks again.
/Mattias

Hi mrhandley and welcome to 4WM
Good to have you aboard, I am pleased that the nine pages of posts came in useful to you! Activesync is particularily troublesome at times, and it can cause major headaches finding the source of the problem.

Re: HTC touch, WM6 activesync 4.5 outlook 2003 windows XP and PROBLEM!!
Hi there, I have the same problem and will try to get it working this week (I already did the reinstall-reset-change cable-change device thing before I visited this forum). Right now I am also using my old PDA (Ipaq 1910) alongside the HTC touch, much to the amusement of my co-workers.
Great to see such an active forum! I will keep you posted.
