Unable to Sync

Hi Guys,
Really need some help here. Have recently got myself a HTC Touch, and installed the Activesync. Self was able to sync for the first time, but since the first time, am unable to perform anymore sync action. Everytime its connected to the USB cable, an error message"Synchronization cannot be completed successfully. Reconnect your device an try again...."

Have tried reconnecting many times and still unable to sync. Have also tried reinstalling Activesync but still the same. Can anybody shed some light? Very very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi flightpostie and welcome to 4WinMobile. As with all these things, I would recommend you use either Sprite or SPB Backup to take a full copy of your device before messing about. That said, try;

Start->Programs->ActiveSynch. From the Menu, choose "Options". Your PC should be listed there. Select it and hit Delete and confirm.

Now perform a soft reset. Next, try connecting it to the PC again. This should create a barand-new connection and set everything up from scratch. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply, but i'm unable to select 'option' on the Activesync page. What should i do? Thanks alot

Hi flightposite00 and welcome to 4WM

Activesync is, and can be a pain in the backside and is one of those things that sometimes takes forever to sort. There is an excellent thread on such problems here maybe you can find an answer there, if not let us know and we will try and help further.

Sorry flightpostie, I should have made clear that the above instructions are for the Touch. If you remove the connection from the Touch then ActiveSynch on the PC should re-create everything from scratch and (hopefully) sort out whatever the problem is.
