I had the same problem but managed to overcome it, I have a thread here on how to do it, it should help you.

Hi to all
I have installed the new radio version and it seems ok so far!!
Just a quick check, What baud rate do people find work best with there GPS??
i know its com 9 and i normally try 4800 or 9600 but if it can work faster and better then its all good
