HTC Touch Diamond vs. Samsung i900 Omnia: Head-to-Head

The guys over at gsmarena.com have got their hands on both a HTC Touch Diamond and a Samsung i900 Omnia and run then through their paces side to side.

"t's PocketPC playoffs and HTC are giving Samsung a match at the GSM Arena. With two of the stars of the season arriving in our office all at once, we thought it's a heck of an opportunity for some Diamond-Omnia-Diamond-Omnia-Diamond-Omnia game-set-match with a pinch of iPhone flavor. We got two aces up to the challenge, so sit back and stretch out. Ah well, get that six-pack too and join us for the kick-off."

Some very interesting view points are made so why not pop over and read the article here.

Two good looking devices, and an interesting comparison.

Not a great review though, no Pros and Cons in the conclusion?

I never realised the Diamond has so many little things that are so cool, I am really torn between these two devices! If onlyyyyyyyyyyy the Diamond had a MicroSD slot it would be perfect, it makes you think, will the Titanium have this error corrected...?

It still goes to show for me at least that the Diamon pips the post. Still needs more development of Touch 3D though.

The Diamond certainly looks more polished, but I have to wait until Octover until I can upgrade to the Compact IV (Which might mean that the Vario IV wins the battle for me!). The Omnia looks the better phone for the masses if camera's important though!

Re: HTC Touch Diamond vs. Samsung i900 Omnia: Head-to-Head

Is it fact that the stylus is not docked in the device but attached by a cord?

If so i think this would put plenty of people off

Not to mention the optical dpad replacement. That'll have me running to the hills!
