Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
Well today was the best day's weather I have had since owning the R1, so I bunked off work this afternoon and hit the roads. Great afternoon out and the roads were even warm enough to give the tyres a workout.

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
As I was driving around this afternoon it did cross my mind that this was the best day yet for a ride out. Didn't make it though. Work on the bike tomorrow maybe?

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
I have fitted a nice new carbon and stainless steel GP exhaust and linkpipe to my R1, comes with removeable baffle but I daren't remove it it is loud enough as it is!

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
Well it isn't stamped 'not road legal' and it has a baffle in it, but probably not legal but Harleys are on a par with the noise level so if it is good enough for them............
Sounds lovely on the over run though it spits and cackles.

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
I love the freedom of riding motorcycles - especially when I use to be in London - and have been riding on and off for 20 years. Sadly I don't have one now as my Lady prefers cars. The best one I ever had was only an RGV 250 GAMMA or my TZR 250. vroom vroom vroom...

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
Ahhh another keen motorcyclist, it is surprising how many members are. I had a few 250cc bikes in my younger days and I did like a two stroke, especially when the power band comes in.
You will have to sell your other half the benefits of motorcycling!

Or just sell your other half !!
The thrill of my RS250 is the band between 9 1/2k and 12k. Nothing happens until 9 1/2 and it pops at 12.

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
BTW, I did the first stage of California Superbike School last week at Silverstone Stowe circuit. Andy Ibbotson (the guy that does the classroom stuff) promised to improve cornering (what the day was about) by 50% - and he did ! Quite expensive and very tiring (for an old one), but well worth it.
