Any keen motorcyclists here?
Is anyone out there as keen as me on motorcycles?
I am fair weathered motorcyclist and like to have my boys toys to play with. I am off tomorrow to purchase the actual bike shown. It is a mint condition Yamaha YZF-R1 high performance 1000cc sports bike, 160hp, standing quarter of a mile in 10.2 seconds and a top speed of 175mph. It has only done 9000 miles and never been used in the wet, and comes with a full service history.
Let me hear about your rides.
I must remember to update my TomTom safety cameras!

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
I have been riding since I was 8 on a lil RM 50, and have had my share of rockets, the last of which was a GSX-R 1100 massaged out to 1207cc by the guys at Hypercycle.com who build some insane machines! Now that medical use of marijuana is legal here in California I ride a slower, more comfortable 1600c Yamaha Road Star Silverado cruiser.
Here is what I ride~
And a little eye candy from the famous Rock Store on Mulholland Highway~
If you are ever out in LA Boz, I would be happy to bring you on a 2 wheeled tour! The canyons and hills and ocean drives are some of the best mix to be found.

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
I ride any day it's not raining or I don't have something to do for work.
2006 Harley Davidson V-ROD, 1130 cc, 120 hp, top speed 150mph (at least that's what the speedometer says). Got it brand new with 5mi on it. People shouldn't be allowed to ride things this fast it's just wrong

If accessories like that come with the bike todd, I think I'll be going shopping!

My motorcycling days are sadly over- family commitments and the ever increasing blindness of a large proportion of the motoring public ( I see the results of too many of those in my surgery every week )
But I started in 1971 with a Jawa 175, and progressed to a Triumph Daytona (1970 model, not '90s!) through a Ducati 450 Desmo single, and 860 GTS twin, to a Moto Guzzi LeMans.
My father (now 75) has a collection of 8 vintage bikes- all roadworthy and insured, from a 1929 Matchless 1000 twin with sidecar, to a Scott Squirrel, Velocette Venon, Panther 600 to a 2005 Matchless 500 for everyday use!

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
I'd skip the bikes, only ever tried riding three when much younger and ended up coming off all three, but those accessories - sheesh nothign like that when I was around!

Agreed Daron! It must be technology. Accessories are made much better these days!

Re: Any keen motorcyclists here?
I've not ridden for about 10 years now. Last bike was a CBR 500. I never progressed onto anything bigger. I do miss it, but I spend very little time on the road. When I do drive I have this instead....
