Re: Doctor Who?

I thought this weeks Werewolf ep rocked to. 2 out of 2. Much better than the last series, liking the new Doc more too.

Re: Doctor Who?

Woo Hoo ! Nice to see some fellow Whovians on the forum !!!! I have to admit my favourite Dr Who is Tom Baker followed by Peter Davidson. Favourite episodes are Genesis of The Daleks (My Father swears i hid behind the couch when this was first aired!!!) I got it on DVD when it came out a few Mondays ago and finsished work ealry to watch it!! No hiding behind the couch this time though! And as an adult i heard and understood the adult messages of the story this time round. Another favourite is Earthshock because it WAS a SHOCK !! Adric died I was ill at the time and was quite feverish but i am sure the GP thought i had taken a turn for a worse when i was sobbing for days after !!! And of course it had Cybermen too !! A great story all round!
I have to say Chris Ecclestone did a cracking job as Dr Who and David Tennent is comming along nicely, not easy to fill Chris Ecclestone's shoes !! Can't wait for this Saturday's epsiode with K9 ! YAYAYAYAYAAYA! I love that metal mutt !!

Pertwee was my fave followed with Baker (who are the Who's I grew up with). Eggleston was superb in bringing the role back but I have a sneaky feeling that Tennant will prove to be even better.

He seems to be to embody the zany madness of the character.

One thing I'm hoping that they do try to do at some point is to go back to Gallifrey, but whether it will ever happen.......

Oooh yes indeed they will be awesome. Wonder how long we will have to wait until they appear?

Can't wait for Torchwood to start as well that will fill in the gap nicely between Who and Christmas

So, did anyone watch the final apisode of the series?

One of the best I thought, Daleks and Cybermen - cool. And even I suffered the odd teary eye in a few places!

The sight of those Daleks getting sucked back into the time warp was awesome!

Tennant has really found his place in the Who rolls of honour!

Re: Doctor Who?

Yeah, I thought it rocked too. Dragged out a little at the end, and I'm not sure about the doctors tears but..... over all, damned fine episode. Awesome series in general I thought.

I loved the Docs tears at the end, I'd have been miffed though if they had actually got him to say the words but left as it was I thought it was a nice touch.

Plus of course if they ever need Rose if the future she can be pulled back for the odd episode.

Loved the name of the Norweigan bay too

I thought the Pete and Jackie thing was unbelievably corny. And poor old downtrodden Micky/Ricky still hangs out with the Tylers - why wasn't he off fighting cybermen somewhere instead of on the beach?

Surely all the Cybermen were pulled into the void so Mickey is free to stroll along as many beaches as he likes! Plus they are all working at Torchwood aren't they, it was probably a weekend anyway

I thought it was a really good ep although the fighting was a bit shortlived, should have been TV movie length I reckon!

I agree with Dave, excellent series over all. I have to say that he has becaome my favourite Doc ever now. I grew up with Tom Baker and he was always my fave, although Chris Ecclestone ran him a very close second (him being a Manc helped) but David Tennant has absolutely nailed it for me. BTW, his accent still weirds me out when he's on confidential!!
