TG01 Coming to O2

msmobiles are reporting a rumour that the TG01 is on it's way to O2 in both the UK and Germany and - if the rumour is to be believed - we won't have long to wait. They claim the launch date is the 9th July; that's next Thursday!

The TG01 is, of course, the Windows Mobile powered device announced by T-Mobile containing the 1GHz SnapDragon processor and a 4.1" display.

I can't help feeling it probably won't be called the TG01 if/when O2 launch it, mind

Re: TG01 Coming to O2

I think I'd need to see one in the flesh. 4.1" sounds rather large. I'm not so keen on the HD with it's 3.8" screen. For my tastes, 3-3.2" seems about the sweet spot but, as I say, until you've seen one in the flesh...

Re: TG01 Coming to O2

I'm looking for something to replace both my Diamond and my X7510 (5" screen is fantastic for browsing and reference works!)- this 4.1" screen could be what I'm after though I'm a little concerned that the battery is only 10% larger than the Diamond's which may cause problems with a 1GHz processor and large screen

Re: TG01 Coming to O2

bassey your right, until you've held it you will not know. if it's as big touch hd then it will be down to how well it feels in the hand. the battery is a worry though you never know it might be excellent, fingers crossed. I'm looking forward to having a higher resolution screen. the mrs has a LG viewty smart and that screen is great to look at, not a bad phone though I prefer windows mobile.

XDA01 would be a weak name though. Didn't they launch the X1 as the X1? So it may be the TG01 after all. Either that or something like the XDA Sunflower or something!

Re: TG01 Coming to O2

I believe the TG01 is the T-Mobile specific name for it and that the "T" stands for T-Mobile. I'm not sure what the HTC name for it is. Anyone?

Re: TG01 Coming to O2

I would have thought the "T" stood for Toshiba?

HTC probably have a rude name for it I'd think!
