msmobiles are reporting that the Microsoft Marketplace (i.e. the on-line software store for Windows Mobile Software) does not allow non-US based developers to register. Apparently, the problem is down to the banking instructions you need to enter when you register. The system can currently only accept US-based bank routing - not the standard international IBAN's.
That said, though, the store doesn't officially launch until September/October and Microsoft promise to introduce International Payment systems some time this month. It does seem a bit strange, though that, nearly a year after the system was opened up to partners and developers, Microsoft hasn't got around to implementing standard payment systems. I mean, it's not exactly as if they've never done on-line payments before, is it?
